50 years of a legend. Tiger Woods, considered one of the greatest golfers of all time, celebrated his fiftieth birthday this Tuesday, December 30. For the occasion, the American at the 15 Majors received a nice birthday gift from the PGA Tour.
Indeed, the main professional men’s golf circuit published on its X account a 22-minute long video listing the 50 most beautiful shots made in his career by the man with 82 successes on the Tour, excluding Majors. Drives, chips, bunker shots, short game… It’s all there!
Impressively, the compilation spans 23 years, from 1996 to 2019, proof of the incredible longevity of the Californian golfer, who has not yet drawn a line under his professional career despite advancing age and repeated injuries.
A final appearance in July 2024
After undergoing surgery to replace a lumbar disc in his lower back last October, Woods nevertheless confided that his rehabilitation was “not as quick” as he would like. “Very far” from being able to determine a calendar for 2026, the “Tiger” refused to plan during his last public appearance on December 2, on the sidelines of the “Hero World Challenge”, the invitation tournament that he organizes in the Bahamas each year.
The world golf legend has undergone several surgeries since his last appearance on a course, during the British Open played in July 2024. “I would simply like to be able to play golf again,” he assured. “I haven’t played golf in a long time. It’s been a difficult year,” he revealed.
One thing is certain: all golf fans in the four corners of the globe hope that Tiger Woods will quickly be able to fill his compilation with new magical shots of which he has the secret.
