John Textor may have taken a step aside in Lyon, but the connections between OL and RWDM remain very real. Thus, the French club would be interested… in a young talent from the Molenbeek club.
Olympique Lyonnais is preparing for the winter transfer window and is doing so in two ways. First with big blows like that of the loan of Endrick, who arrives from Real Madrid where he has not managed to break through but will want to splash Ligue 1 with his talent.
But also, and quite logically given the club’s medium-term financial needs, OL is interested in young talents with high added-value potential. With this in mind, the Lyonnais would have set their sights on one of the great talents of another club in the Eagle Football galaxy, RWDM.
Manial Heavhe verse l’OL ?
According to the Nieuwsblad, OL would follow closely Manoël Verhaeghe (17 years old), young central defender trained at Union Saint-Gilloise and RWDM.
This season, Verhaeghe has already played 13 Challenger Pro League matches and has even worn the captain’s armband despite his young age.
Verhaeghe is undeniably one of the great talents of the division and KV Mechelen have already made an offer to RWDM for him. The young central defender is valued at 800,000 euros on Transfer market.
