She got married almost a year ago in the USA. Tennis player Sabine Lisicki is now making this public. There will be a big celebration in Europe in 2026.
Tennis player Sabine Lisicki married her partner, an entrepreneur and heir to millions named Rouven. The civil wedding took place on Rose Monday in the USA this year, as the athlete revealed in an interview with the magazine “Bunte”.
The couple is planning a large wedding celebration in Europe for the summer of 2026. “It’s going to be very hot. But I’m so looking forward to the planning, the search for clothes,” Lisicki told the magazine. Despite the upcoming preparations, the 36-year-old emphasizes: “It’s important to me that everyone has fun, even if everyone tells me how stressful a wedding is.”
After the planned celebration, the family could then continue to grow. Lisicki and her husband are currently parents to their one-year-old daughter Bella. “I actually always wanted to have several children,” she said now. However, after a difficult pregnancy, she “already thinks twice about it.” Nevertheless, she would like to have more children because she thinks it’s nice “when you grow up with siblings,” says Lisicki.
Sabine Lisicki began her career as a tennis player in 2006. In 2013 she made it to the final at Wimbledon – making her the first German to reach the singles final of a Grand Slam tournament since Steffi Graf in 1999. Lisicki is known for her powerful game and strong serve. In 2014, she set the current record for the fastest serve in women’s tennis at 210.8 kilometers per hour.
In her career she won four WTA singles titles and was runner-up in the 2012 World Cup with the German Fed Cup team. In her private life, Sabine Lisicki was in a relationship with the comedian Oliver Pocher for a time.
