Caracas, December 28. AVN.- They hold the final of the “Que lo Que- Basketball 3X3” cup, in Caracas, an event that was attended by the head of the Government of the Capital District, Nahúm Fernández; the Minister of Popular Power for Youth, Sergio Lotartaro and the coach Néstor Salazar, better known as “Mamá Osa”.
At the event, the athletes had the opportunity to listen to President Nicolás Maduro through a telephone contact, who took the opportunity to congratulate them for their commitment and effort, Fernández notes on his Instagram account.
During the call, President Nicolás Maduro assured that the athletes are fulfilling one of the dreams of Commander Hugo Chávez, which is the massification of sports in healthy peace.
“This event was a magnificent competition that took place in the parishes of La Candelaria, San Agustin, and El Recreo,” said Fernández.
Likewise, he emphasized that history is being made in the city of Caracas, since the capital’s 3X3 and 5X5 basketball teams, both female and male, were undefeated in the Communal Games.
“We continue to advance in the fight against drugs, crime and anti-values. This tournament has created all the necessary conditions for youth to enjoy sport to the fullest, becoming the heroes and heroines of our country. Playing sport is making life. Playing sport is making country,” he added.
