Scottie Barnes scored 23 points, tied the Raptors’ franchise record with a career-high 25 rebounds and dished out ten assists to post his seventh career triple. Toronto beat the Golden State Warriors 141-127 in overtime on Sunday.
Immanuel Quickley scored 27 points, Brandon Ingram 26 and Ja’Kobe Walter added a season-high 18 points for the Raptors, who ended a five-game losing streak at home.
Stephen Curry scored 14 of his 39 points in the third quarter, but did not score in overtime. Draymond Green had 21 points and Jimmy Butler 19, but that wasn’t enough for the Warriors.
Barnes tied the franchise record held by Bismack Biyombo since 2016 for rebounds in a game. This hat-trick is his first of the season.
Raptors winger RJ Barrett returned after a 15-game absence and scored 12 points in 24 minutes.
Toronto scored 35 points following Golden State’s 21 turnovers, a season high against the Warriors. Golden State conceded 34 points in a similar situation during its defeat at Miami on November 19.
Toronto earned its third victory after falling behind after the third quarter, snatching overtime with a 9-2 surge in the final minute and twelve seconds of regulation.
Brandin Podziemski scored 13 points and Will Richard 10. Golden State is now 6-12 on the road.
Sandro Mamukelashvili scored 13 points for Toronto and Ochai Agbaji 10, bringing the number of players who reached the 10-point mark to seven.
The Raptors won despite the absence of their pivot Jakob Poeltl (low back pain), absent for the fifth time in six games.
