Oliver Glasner does not intend to sign a new contract with Crystal Palace, reports transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The 51-year-old successful trainer has an expiring contract with… The Eaglesbut that doesn’t seem to be his future.
Glasner’s contract at Palace runs until next summer and then his era at the London club appears to be coming to an end. According to Romano, the coach does not intend to sign a new contract, so he can look forward to a new club next summer.
“The Austrian coach has made his decision and the next steps will follow,” Romano said. “He is focused on continuing his great work this season.” As coach of Palace, Glasner won two trophies: the FA Cup (2024/2025) and the Community Shield (2025).
Last October it emerged that Glasner was seriously in the picture to become Ajax’s head coach in 2023. Sven Mislintat wanted to bring him to Amsterdam at the time, but he felt resistance from above to appoint a foreign trainer. Ultimately the choice fell on Maurice Steijn.
