Last day they were just one breath away from victory, but this Friday at the Barañain fronton Peio Etxeberria and Rezusta debuted their record of victories in the Couples after beating Larrazabal and Mariezkurrena II. Aspe’s team had to leave everything on the field to finally get rid of the ghosts that stalked them. They added their first point on the sixth day, which allows them to take a breath and confirm that they are on the right track. Those who dressed in red knew how to better manage a match in which they were always ahead, but which became complicated at times.
Larrazabal and Mariezkurrena II this time did not achieve the comeback. They were close, but the coin always doesn’t come out heads. They pressed their rivals until the end, but did not take advantage of the opportunities they had at key moments of the contest.

Incidences:
Full at the Barañain fronton.
In a fast fronton like the one in the Navarrese town, the attacker had the advantage, and Peio Etxeberria got to work as soon as it began. He did damage with the left-footed two-ball, a shot with which he scored up to six goals throughout the match, and set the pace of the duel with his aerial game in the first moments to have an 8-2 lead. However, by the time Mariezkurrena II woke up and warmed up his hands, Baiko’s hands worked better and were within one.
Peio Etxeberria, well supported by a hard-working Rezusta, prevented the tie and the Colorados once again took off until they had a 17-10 lead. But their rivals held on to the clash tooth and nail, and Berriozar’s defender managed to get his teammate into the game. He also signed several beautifully crafted goals that made it possible for them to adjust things again.
A score of 114 balls
The match gained in excitement in its last part. After 20-16, the blues were within two. It was then that the goal of the night arrived, from 114 balls, with alternatives for both combinations that fell on the side of the winners. With one to go until the conclusion everything was easier for them, although in the next one they were rushed. Zenotz’s man closed the match with a good volley.
The third match of the sixth day of Couples will feature Jaka-Iztueta and Zabala-Martija today (5:15 p.m.) at the Javier Adarraga fronton in Logroño. Those from Baiko come into the match after quickly adding their third point. Their rivals have lost two games in a row.
