Paris FC vs PSG: Lees-Melou Injury Update

Here we go again for the Parisian promotion. After an end of the year marked by a series of negative results in Ligue 1 – 2 draws and 3 defeats in the last 5 matches – and a mediocre 14th place, Paris FC resumed training on Tuesday at its training center in Orly. The entire squad was present, nine days after a success (0-3) at Raon-l’Étape in the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France. Only the players selected for the CAN were missing, Ilan Kebbal, Samir Chergui (Algeria), Moses Simon (Nigeria), Jean-Philippe Krasso (Ivory Coast) and Hamari Traoré (Mali).

Right back Sofiane Alakouch and striker Pierre-Yves Hamel are still recovering, but they should return to the group very soon. Absent since the end of November, midfielder Pierre Lees-Melou, who took a blow against Auxerre (1-1) on the plate placed after his fibula operation, an injury contracted with Brest, has resumed training. But it remains uncertain for the Paris derby against PSG this Sunday evening (9 p.m.) at the Parc des Princes for the 17th and final day of the first leg of L1.

After its confrontation against the reigning European Champion, Paris FC will meet Luis Enrique’s team at the same place on Monday January 12 in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France before facing FC Nantes (17th) at Beaujoire (January 18) then Angers (10th) at the Jean-Bouin stadium (January 25), two direct competitors for maintenance. Until then, he will perhaps benefit from reinforcements during the winter transfer window (which starts on January 1) during which he should be active in almost all sectors of the game.
