NBA Basketball School: Puerto Rico Launch | News

The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Multinational Insurance Company today announced a multi-year collaboration for Multinational Insurance Company to launch and operate the first NBA Basketball School in Puerto Rico.

The NBA Basketball School Puerto Rico will be located at the Colegio Universitario de San Juan and will offer a basketball development program with a registration fee for youth ages 6 to 18, which will include skill development, scrimmages and 5-on-5 games, as well as life skills sessions. The program will kick off with youth clinics on Monday, December 15, before expanding to year-round activities in early 2026. Youth participants will also have the opportunity to attend other NBA international basketball development events and programs throughout the year. The NBA Basketball School curriculum, designed to develop players and provide parents, coaches and organizations with a better understanding of the improvement process, has been developed by the NBA International Basketball Operations department in consultation with current and former NBA coaches, players and player development specialists. Since 2017, NBA Basketball Schools have launched or announced in 25 countries, with more than 46,000 players in 360 locations globally.
