Montevarchi Brawl: Daspo Issued to Five, Including Minors

The State Police has notified five DACUR measures against as many subjects held responsible for a violent brawl that occurred in the center of Montevarchi.

The episode dates back to the first days of December, when, in the morning hours, the police intervened following the report of a fight taking place in Piazza Vittorio Veneto. Five people were traced and identified on site who, according to what was ascertained, were physically fighting each other.

Subsequent investigations revealed that the subjects, three of whom were minors, belonged to opposing groups and had met in the area for what appeared to be a real showdown. During the searches carried out, the operators found various material capable of offending, including a baseball bat, a machete, an electric pulse taser gun and a semi-automatic blank pistol, appropriately modified.

In addition to the criminal consequences, a prevention measure known as DACUR, or Daspo Urbano, issued by the Police Commissioner has been issued for all those involved. The provision, notified in the presence of the parents to minors, provides for a ban on access and parking in the urban areas of Montevarchi affected by the events, for a period of one year.
