Bola.net – Manchester United left Old Trafford with mixed feelings after drawing 4-4 against Bournemouth. This result was created in a match full of drama, where the hosts took the lead three times before being overtaken again.
United’s goal productivity this season is undeniable, but the weakness of their defense is once again in the spotlight. A record of 26 goals conceded puts them in the same position as problematic teams at the bottom of the table.
Amidst questions about the team’s direction, public attention was focused on Ruben Amorim’s position. Journalist David Ornstein then revealed the club management’s attitude towards the future of the Portuguese coach.

Speaking on Sky Sports News in the Back Pages Tonight program, David Ornstein emphasized that Manchester United’s top brass remained behind Amorim. According to him, the club fully believes the coach can turn the situation around.
“That they haven’t been the force that he wanted them to be, or that the fans of Manchester United, or even English football in general, had hoped for,” Ornstein said.
“The post-Alex Ferguson era certainly had some high moments, but most of them were marked by difficult periods, and many of these occurred under Ruben Amorim.”
“However, the club clearly fully believes in him and is supporting him to turn this around, slowly but surely. They are also supporting him in the transfer market, and of course the team is being hit by a lot of injuries.”
Ornstein also highlighted the absence of key players in the back line. Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt were unavailable, while young defender Ayden Heaven endured a difficult night when he was trusted to start.

In the match, Amorim showed greater tactical flexibility. He appeared to abandon his flagship 3-4-3 scheme when United chased an equaliser, with the formation changing to 4-2-4 in the closing stages of the match.
This move drew praise, including from Gary Neville, who saw the change in the middle of the match as a signal of positive adaptation. However, the final result still left the hosts feeling disappointed.
In a post-match interview with Sky Sports, Amorim admitted the game was entertaining, but felt his team should have picked up more than one point.
“It was a fun game. We started really well, had a really good first half. The result could have been very different,” said Amorim.

Score 4-4 illustrates the fierceness of the match
Yesterday’s match against Bournemouth experienced significant changes in the second half. MU, which was actually very superior in the first half, actually had difficulty facing the opponent’s attacks in the second half.
“We lost concentration and they scored two goals. But we were able to get back into the game, scored two more goals, then we had to finish the match. We need to stay calm and close the match. There were a lot of good things, but there was also a lot to improve,” said Amorim.
“Sometimes we don’t win matches because of small details, whether it’s playing with four defenders, three defenders or five defenders. These are the details that we have to improve and understand, including the momentum of the match.”
