Runner-up Bayer Leverkusen can rely on Exequiel Palacios in midfield quicker than expected. Coach Kasper Hjulmand reports to ‘Bild’ that the Argentine will soon be available again: “Pala is doing very well – a little better than expected. We are very happy that there are opportunities for him again in January”said Hjulmand.

Palacios could possibly even make his comeback against Werder Bremen on January 24th. This was originally planned for February. The 27-year-old suffered a serious injury to his adductors in mid-September and then had to undergo surgery.
