Judo Competition: Young Athletes Excel

This weekend, the Ganges Judo Club and Judo Solidaire supported four young judokas for their first participation in an official competition of the French Judo Federation. An important moment for these children who discover the demands and values ​​of competition.

Saturday December 13, during the second district of Hérault junior category, in Mèze, Lazare Pakhuridze, licensed in Solidarity Judo, achieved a remarkable journey. Engaged in -46 kg, he won his four fights by ippon, took first place and qualified for the Benjamins criterium, scheduled for January 24 in Béziers.

Sunday, December 14, it’s time for the Hérault Mini Cup. Juliette Vacquier (-48 kg) and Bouya Kamelia (-52 kg) showed a lot of commitment and combativeness. Facing stiff competition, they both finished in fifth place, very close to the podium.

Among the boys, Maxime Biaz (-55 kg) also stood out for his determination and concluded the day in eighth place, in a very dense category.

Judo-jujitsu classes in the club’s four training centers are suspended during the winter holidays from this Saturday, December 20 until January 5, 2026. The club will then be delighted to welcome interested people on the tatami from the start of the school year (registration possible all year round).
