CHONBURI, KOMPAS.TV – The Indonesian Women’s National Team is certain to qualify for the 2025 SEA Games women’s football semifinals as runner-up Group A.
The Women’s National Team’s qualification was confirmed after hosts Thailand beat Singapore 2-0 in the final Group A match at Chonburi Stadium, Wednesday (10/12/2025).
These results create a position Garuda Indonesia in the second stage Group A did not shift. Winning three points was enough to bring Isa Warps and friends to the semifinals.
The Women’s National Team pocketed three points thanks to their victory over Singapore with a score of 3-1 on Sunday (7/12/2025).
Previously, in the first match, Indonesia was defeated by Thailand with a landslide score of 0-8.
Thailand suffered a crushing defeat Garuda Indonesia Singapore has a chance of being overtaken in the last match due to goal difference. However, Thailand’s victory ensured that Singapore finished with zero points.

In the semifinals, the Women’s National Team will face the winner of Group B, either Vietnam or Myanmar. Vietnam and Myanmar will fight for top position in the final Group B qualifying match on Thursday (11/12/2025).
Myanmar temporarily leads Group B standings with six points. Meanwhile, Vietnam is in second place with three points from one win and one defeat against the Philippines.
However, Vietnam (+6) is ahead on goal difference from Myanmar (+4). So, Vietnam will take the top position if it succeeds in beating Myanmar.
Meanwhile, the Philippines in third place also still has a chance to qualify for the semifinals. However, the Philippines’ chances are relatively slim because the goal difference between Myanmar and Vietnam is superior.
The Philippines will face Malaysia in the final match of Group B. Malaysia is certain to be eliminated as bottom, as a result of defeats with a score of 0-7 to Vietnam and 0-3 to Myanmar.
For the record, Group A only contains three teams because Cambodia withdrew before the women’s soccer event started.
