Indonesia: SEA Games 2025 Badminton Final – Ready to Compete

JAKARTA – The Indonesian girls and boys badminton teams are ready for the match against Thailand and Malaysia in the final doubles badminton match of the 2025 Southeast Asian Games.

The final badminton match will take place at Thamasat Rangsit Gym 4 on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. The women’s team will meet the country’s author, while the men will face a tough test against Malaysia.

The head of the training and performance division (Kabid Binpres) of PBSI, Eng Hian, assured that the preparation of both teams was very mature for the decided match. He also said that the evaluation of the semi-final match was carried out to organize the strategy.

“We also held exercises as final preparation. The children’s conditions are quite good, their recovery is good and everything is in good shape. Present to play the final,” he said.

The final match between the four teams is a shock replay of the 2023 ASEAN Games final which took place in Cambodia.

At the time, the Indonesian women’s team had to settle for a silver medal from the biennial event after losing 0-3 to Thailand, while the men’s team took gold after beating Malaysia 3-1.

Eng Hian said Thailand and Malaysia would definitely put up a tough fight in tomorrow’s final match. He felt that the reception team in the women’s sector could become a nightmare, while in the men’s sector the force is balanced.

“For the men’s team, the strength with Malaysia is very balanced. I think the match will be intense. Of course, we will put in place the best and most prepared of our account lines,” he said.

The Indonesian women’s badminton team will be in action against Thailand at 10:00 a.m., while the Indonesian same-sex team will play the final match at 3:00 p.m.
