Zurich – Long-term fans of their national teams should be rewarded for their loyalty at the 2026 World Cup. After global protests over excessive prices, FIFA has responded to the criticism. From a special contingent for participating teams there will be inexpensive tickets priced at just 60 US dollars (51 euros) per game from the preliminary round through to a possible final. The associations should distribute these tickets to “loyal fans who are closely connected to the team”.
