“Not our Club” and “Shame on You”: Club supporters make a strong statement in the 12th minute after Hayen’s dismissal

The dissatisfaction among Club fans after the dismissal of Nicky Hayen has not yet subsided. Against Arsenal, a large part of the blue-black supporters made their dissatisfaction clear. In the 12th minute, ‘Nicky Hayen Bruges Army’ by Jan Breydel sounded, accompanied by several banners. “We respect you” and “Shame on you” towards the board, but also “Nicky Hayen, thank you for everything and see you soon”.
It was not far to look for a topic of conversation before kick-off at Club Brugge – Arsenal.
In and around Jan Breydel, fans were busy discussing the surprising dismissal of Nicky Hayen. “It still hurts,” many fans admitted to our reporter on the spot.
During the match, a large part of the supporters would also express this. A large banner hung from one stand with the telling message: “We respect you.”
In the 12th minute the fans would put an exclamation point behind that. Suddenly several banners appeared.
“Shame on You”, towards the board. And also words of thanks to Hayen: “Merci Nicky” and “Thanks for everything, see you soon!”. The same message on dozens of A4 sheets: “Not our Club”.
