It’s probably already the winter transfer. The transfer window is not yet officially open, but Olympique Lyonnais is already shaking up the French market. According to L’Équipe, Real Madrid striker Endrick will be loaned to the Ligue 1 club until the end of the season. A dry loan, without a purchase option, but which can allow the Lyonnais to become unstoppable offensively.
The 19-year-old Brazilian striker has been in a bind this season in the Spanish capital. Abandoned by Xabi Alonso and barred by Kylian Mbappé, he only played three matches, with only 99 minutes on the pitch in total. A starving playing time which pushed the Merengues to loan their player so that he could regain color and confidence.
For OL, the opportunity was great. Because although he is still young, Endrick has already proven himself in his training club Palmeiras and last season in Madrid. In 82 matches in Brazil, he scored 21 goals and provided 3 assists. At Real, he planted seven in 40 games. He also has 14 caps with the Brazilian national team, which he discovered at the age of 17.
According to L’Équipe, the amount of the overall agreement is estimated at one million euros. Lyon will therefore not have to pay the Brazilian’s entire salary until the end of the season. An essential point for the Rhone club, which is slowly emerging from its financial difficulties. Endrick is expected to sign his contract in the coming days.
