Philadelphia 76ers defeated Indiana Pacers 115-105 at home. While Joel Embiid broke the season record with 39 points, rookie VJ Edgecombe stood out with his performance.
Philadelphia 76ers hosted the Indiana Pacers in a match without star player Tyrese Maxey. Most of the match was competitive. However, Joel Embiid appeared on the scene. The star center completed the match with 39 points and 9 rebounds, reaching his highest score of the season. Embiid became the architect of the victory, especially with his critical baskets in the last quarter.
Rookie VJ Edgecombe, who started as the starter in Maxey’s absence, made excellent use of the chance given to him. The young player played with 22 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Edgecombe both scored and organized his team. Paul George also made a significant contribution to the victory with 23 points.
The last part of the match was breathtaking. With 8 minutes left, Indiana Pacers were ahead 100-95. However, after this minute, the Pacers offense stopped. The Sixers toughened up the defense and finished the game with an incredible 20-5 run, leaving the field victorious 115-105.
The crisis is deepening in last season’s Eastern Conference champion Indiana Pacers. Pascal Siakam’s 20 points could not prevent the defeat. With this result, the Pacers had their 6th win but suffered their 19th loss and could not escape from the bottom of the conference.
