Curry’s Historic Night | NBA News & Highlights

Stephen Curry is hard to stop when he returns – and takes a record away from Michael Jordan. The Detroit Pistons continue to win in the NBA and set a remarkable record.

NBA superstar Stephen Curry was unstoppable in his return for the Golden State Warriors after a long injury layoff (thigh bruise) and scored 39 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Since his 30th birthday in spring 2018, Curry has scored at least 35 points in 94 NBA games. The Olympic champion in Paris thus surpassed the record set by legend Michael Jordan, who achieved this in 93 games.

Still, it wasn’t enough to win. The Californians lost 120:127 during Curry’s comeback after a five-game break.

NBA: Detroit Pistons set record

The Detroit Pistons remain the hottest team in the NBA behind the Oklahoma City Thunder. The leaders of the Eastern Conference easily won 142:115 against the Atlanta Hawks and thus their fifth game from the last six games. The Pistons improved their record to 20:5 wins, only Oklahoma (24:1) is better in the league.
