On April 5, 2025, Dayro Moreno became the Colombian top scorer of all time by scoring a double with Once Caldas against América de Cali, on matchday 12 of the BetPlay I-2025 League.

This allowed the man born in Chicoral and idol of the Manizale team to surpass Radamel Falcao’s record at that time and reach the figure of 352 goals scored as a professional. The passing of the 2025 season allowed Moreno to close his goal count at 373, with a wide difference compared to the second on the list, Falcao with 356 goals and Victor Hugo Aristizabal, now retired, third with 346 goals.

Dayro Moreno established himself as the top scorer of Conmebol Sudamericana 2025 by scoring 10 goals during Once Caldas’ campaign, which reached the quarterfinals of the tournament.

The historic mark makes Moreno the Colombian soccer player with the highest number of scored goals, accumulating 373 goals throughout his career. After renewing his contract, the figure could increase next season.

Moreno’s goals were distributed in 13 games, starting on the second day of the group stage against Unión Española in Chile and closing in the quarterfinals against Independiente Del Valle in Quito. The forward was decisive for Once Caldas to overcome several phases, although the team was eliminated after losing on penalties at home despite having beaten the Ecuadorians at home.

With this achievement, a Colombian led the tournament’s scoring table for the sixth time. Ricardo Ciciliano (6), Miguel Borja (6), Wason Rentería (5), Wilson Morelo (5) and Nicolás Benedetti (5) achieved it before.

Luis Díaz experienced a match of contrasts in the duel against Paris Saint-Germain for the fourth day of the Champions League, after scoring two goals in the 4th and 32nd minutes, before receiving a red card that removed him from the field at the end of the first half.

With these scores, the forward reached a total of 13 goals in the Champions League, equaling Jackson Martínez and surpassing Radamel Falcao García, who has 12 goals in the classification of Colombian top scorers, considering only the group or league stages. In the count, which does include goals scored in previous phases or under the European Cup format, Díaz, Martínez and Falcao share the top, each with 14 goals.

Luis Díaz closed the year with a header goal in his team’s duel, Bayern Munich, after a collective play started from the left and culminated by a cross from Josip Stanišić. With this score, the Colombian winger registers 23 goals in 2025 between his spells with Liverpool, Bayern Munich and the Colombian National Team. His best mark in a year is 24 goals, a figure he achieved in 2021 with Porto and repeated in 2024 defending Liverpool.
