Strasbourg confirmed its position as leader of the Conference League in fine style by beating the Icelanders of Breidablik on Thursday at Meinau during the 6th and final day of the league phase (3-1). In a sold-out Meinau stadium, a strong start allowed Racing to open the scoring in the 11th minute thanks to Swedish striker Sebastian Nanasi after a great collective movement.
The Icelanders then came back to score thanks to their captain Hoskuldur Gunnlaugsson (37th). Before the Strasbourg side laid siege to the opposing area in the second half to regain the advantage thanks to Martial Godo (80th). Julio Enciso sealed the victory in added time (90th + 4).

Qualified for the round of 16 since last week and a 1-0 success in Aberdeen (Scotland), the Alsatians secured their first place on Thursday, which will allow them to play the return matches at home during the knockout phase of the C4 from March 2026.
Racing now knows its four potential opponents: it will face, in the next round, Fiorentina (Italy), Rijeka (Croatia), Omonia Nicosia (Cyprus) or Jagiellonia Bialystok (Poland), against whom Racing had already been defeated during the league phase at the end of October (1-1). The four teams will meet in the play-offs and Liam Rosenior’s players will then face one of the two teams that emerged victorious. They will know their opponent on February 27.
Inconsistent in Ligue 1 with a current series of four games without a win and a disappointing seventh place, the Alsatians are almost full in the third European competition with five wins and a draw (16 pts). Strasbourg will also host Dunkirk (Ligue 2) on Sunday in the Coupe de France for the last match of 2025.
