Former professional tennis player Dominika Cibulková spoils her children and she definitely doesn’t hide it. Look what she got them for Christmas!
I know what’s behind it
Dominika Cibulková after ending her professional career in 2019, she still cannot completely detach herself from the world that made her famous. Even today, tennis is a source of joy and nostalgia for her. As she herself admits, she misses the adrenaline from the matches, but she no longer wants to carry the entire burden that is an inherent part of top sport. “I miss the adrenaline and the feeling of victory, but I know what’s behind it and I don’t miss it. I’m a rational woman and I know that it’s simply not possible without it,” she said on the show Incognito.
It cannot be done without sacrifices
Questions about a possible return to the courts arise constantly, but Dominika is clear on this topic. “I’m a rational woman and I know that tennis is a demanding sport. You can’t do it without sacrifices,” she added. She still trains hard, takes care of her condition and managed to lose a few kilograms, but sport is no longer a priority in her life. After the birth of Jakubka in 2020 and daughter Ninka in 2023, she focused her attention mainly on family.
Jakubko follows in her footsteps
It is interesting that Jakubko is following in the footsteps of his famous mother. He plays tennis and is doing very well! “Apart from the fact that he is my son and he has only been playing tennis for a year and a half, I think he is doing quite well. He is very smart and gifted. The coach also praises him. But at this age, the most important thing is for him to enjoy it, to be able to move and to have good technique. That is also why I am very satisfied with our coaches, because they teach children the correct technique of strokes.” said Dominika for Sport24.
A crisis in a relationship
Dominika’s personal life is often discussed in the media, especially after information about the marital crisis that the Navarros are currently facing has emerged. The former athlete put the situation bluntly. “Every marriage, when partners have been together for as long as we have, goes through such crises. Currently, Michal and I spend less time together than in the past. We each have our own activities.” she stated for Šport24. At another event, she expressed herself even more clearly: “We have two small children, everything is fine. My husband and I are not separated.” She and her husband are currently attending therapy and hope that everything will be fine between them. Not only for yourself, but also for the children.
