Brazil 2 x 0 Portugal. Brazil increased their lead just 2 minutes into the 2nd half. Simone advanced down the right wing and hit the goal hard. Ana Catarina palmed it and the ball fell to Amadinha, who made a dig to make it 2-0.
Moment of tension. In the 8th minute of the 2nd half, goalkeeper Ana Catarina launched Ana Azevedo into the area and goalkeeper Bianca punched the ball and collided with the Portuguese striker. The referee awarded a penalty for Portugal but reversed it when checking the image on VS (support video), after a challenge from Brazil’s technical committee.
Brazil 3 x 0 Portugal. The Brazilian team took advantage of Portugal going “all or nothing” by playing with a goalkeeper, and Débora Vanin stole the ball and hit it from the defense field into the empty goal, making it 3-0 for Brazil.
