Birdland’s Tales: Ponticelli Basilica – December 28th

Birdland’s Tales torna with a new chapter dedicated to Christmas and its most intimate magic, as part of the “More Christmas 2025“. Sunday 28 December 2025in the Congregation of Basilica of Santa Maria della Nevein Piazza Vincenzo Aprea 2 in Ponticelli (Na), at 5.00 pm, the storytelling show will take place “Like kites flying” of and with Massimo Piccolo.

From the masterpiece of Truman Capote, Christmas memorieswith the unforgettable friendship between Buddy and Sookto one original and updated rewrite of The gift of the Magi by O’Henry, in which the poverty of yesterday meets the fragility of many Italians today, with a passage dedicated to Annamaria Ortese. Alongside these, some original stories they broaden the journey between nostalgia, tenderness and hope. The voices of Massimo Piccolo, Claudia Di Rienzo and Roberta D’Ovidio they are intertwined with one classical soundtrack ranging from Tchaikovsky a Shostakovichpassing through famous Christmas melodies and already classic songs such as Love is losing game.

The musical conduction is as always entrusted to the piano Francesco Marziani and to the singing of Adriana Cardinale supported by the flautists Marialuisa Severino e Federica Pompa.
