Alwi Farhan Wins Gold | Defeats Ubed in Final Match

SEA Games 2025 Individual badminton presents an all Indonesian final in men’s singles. Alwi Farhan makes a comeback to beat Ubed, and also becomes Indonesia’s 34th gold medal!

The 2025 SEA Games final for individual badminton was held at Gymnasium 4, Thammasat University, Pathum Thani, on Sunday (14/12/2025). In the men’s singles event, there was a duel between Indonesians, namely MohZakiUbaidillahvsAlwiFarhan.

Alwi Farhan took the momentum first in the first game by winning 5-2. MohZaki Ubaidillah or usually called Ubed equalized 5-5, turned ahead 7-5, then took the lead at the interval 11-9.

Ubed maintained his rhythm by continuing to lead by three points. Ubed started comfortably at 18-13, then won 21-13.

Continuing the second game, Alwi took the lead with a 6-0 lead. Alwi also pulled away 11-4 in the interval.

Ubed found it difficult to catch, Alwi was unstoppable 16-8. Alwi wins 21-8, continues rubber!

Continuing the third game, the score was tight at the start, 3-3. Alwi then led 8-3. Alwi was ahead in the interval 11-5.

Alwi was unstoppable going 18-6. Alwi secures a 21-12 win and wins gold!
