The Turkish Football Federation rejected digital media claims regarding A National Team head coach Sergen Yalçın, labeling the reports as speculative and entirely fabricated. The circulating allegations suggested the manager struggled to establish communication with certain national team players upon taking the post. Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu (TFF) published a clear statement addressing the reports via its official social media accounts, noting that stories claiming certain national players experienced difficulties establishing contact with Sergen Yalçın do not reflect the truth.
Türkiye Futbol Federation Issues Strict Denial Over Communication Claims
The governing body released an official statement via its web channels addressing reports that surfaced across digital broadcasting platforms. The federation used firm language to counter rumors about friction between the technical staff and the squad. According to the official release, claims suggesting that players failed to answer phone calls or resisted contact from Yalçın do not reflect reality. TFF underlined that the reports are completely baseless, pointing out that such claims appearing across digital broadcast channels show allegations that A National Team Head Coach Sergen Yalçın experienced difficulty communicating with some of our national players.

Bu ve benzeri ifadeler gerçeği yansıtmayan hayal ürünü ve art niyetli spekülasyonlardan ibarettir,
the federation stated, categorizing the assertions as malicious speculation designed to manufacture division within the camp.
Squad Unity and Upcoming Fixtures Under Yalçın
The federation emphasized the harmony between the newly installed coaching staff and the player pool. The governing body asserted that all national team members expressed genuine satisfaction with the initial consultations, meetings, and tactical discussions conducted by Yalçın and his assistants. TFF added that no such situation as alleged has occurred between the A National Team head coach and our players, and that all national players state they feel great satisfaction from the meetings and exchanges of ideas held with Sergen Yalçın and his technical team. The federation also recalled that today marks the enthusiastic celebration of the 103rd founding anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, emphasizing that the public should not give credence to such harmful rhetoric aimed at targeting the unity and solidarity of the A National Team—the common denominator of the Turkish Nation—and attempting to damage the bonds between our newly started technical staff and our players from day one.

The transition follows the departure of former head coach Vincenzo Montella, whose tenure ended following a difficult stretch in the UEFA Nations League A tier, where the team lost its first four matches and the 2026 World Cup. The side prepares for its next competitive tests in November, hosting Belgium in Izmir on November 12 for the UEFA Nations League Group 5 fixture before traveling to face France on November 15 in the closing group fixture. The A National Team currently has no points in the group after losing its first four matches.
