The second round of the 2025 National Adult Rugby Football Tournament (hereinafter referred to as the National Adult Rugby Football Tournament) was held in the rain at Paloma Mizuho Rugby Stadium against Clean Fighters Yamanashi (hereinafter referred to as Yamanashi).
For Chubu Electric Power, winning this first match is an absolute prerequisite in order to improve on last year’s 3rd place.
For this reason, we took on the theme of fighting as a team.

The match started with Yamanashi’s kickoff.
Chubu Electric Power launched a bold attack from the start of the match.
Then, in the 8th minute of the first half, Yamanashi’s SO Kasahara caught the ball from a dropkick from the try area and brilliantly scored a drop goal from near the halfway point to give Yamanashi the lead.
After that, they attacked the Yamanashi team’s try line many times, but were unable to score a try.
Finally, a chance to try came in the 15th minute of the first half.
They attacked right in front of the Yamanashi team’s try line, and in the end, SO Kasahara took advantage of a gap in the Yamanashi defense and scored a try.
In the 27th minute of the first half, Yamanashi scored a try and caught up.
In the 34th minute of the first half, SO Kasahara aimed for a penalty goal from Yamanashi’s penalty and succeeded.
In the 39th minute, just before the end of the first half, LO Terakita brought the ball in from a series of attacks and, with support from his teammates, scored a try.
After that, there was a back-and-forth battle, and the first half ended.
The first half score was Chubu Electric Power 20-5 Yamanashi with Chubu Electric Power leading the way.

Chubu Electric Power wants to maintain the tempo of the first half and attack in the second half.
Three minutes into the second half, SO Kasahara tried to score a penalty goal from Yamanashi’s penalty, but unfortunately missed and was unable to score an additional point.
After that, Chubu Electric Power was unable to get into a rhythm due to fouls and their own mistakes, and the Yamanashi period continued.
35 minutes into the second half, Yamanashi scored a try and caught up.
In the 47th minute of the second half, just before the no-side goal, Yamanashi got a try and the team was now no-side.
The final score was Chubu Electric Power 20-17 Yamanashi and Chubu Electric Power won.
As a result, we were able to advance to the third round of the National Adult Tournament.

Kii HC announced the MOM for this match, and SO Kasahara, who led the team to victory with a stunning kick, was selected.

In this match, we weren’t able to do what we were supposed to do in the second half, and it was a stressful game that left us with a lot of issues.
In order to have a better record than last year, we need to win the next match as well.
We will resolve the issues that arose in this match and fight as a team, so we appreciate your continued support.
