ATP World Ranking
The ATP World Rankings for men’s tennis as of November 24th have been updated, and Rei Sakamoto, who won last week’s Yokohama Keio Challenger International Tennis Tournament 2025 supported by Mita Kosan (Japan/Yokohama, Hard, ATP Challenger), has moved up 17 places to 159th place, setting a new career high. The 19-year-old Sakamoto came from behind to defeat Kaitomo Uchida in the final of the Yokohama Keio Challenger International Tennis Tournament 2025 supported by Mita Kosan held on the 23rd, winning his third Challenger tournament in about four months. As a result, Sakamoto has moved up 17 places in the world rankings updated this week to a career-high 159th place, making him the fifth-highest Japanese player after Kei Nishikori. Elsewhere, 31-year-old Uchida, who was runner-up in the tournament, rose 42 places to 246th in the world rankings. 22-year-old Shintaro Mochizuki is ranked 93rd, making him the only Japanese player in the top 100 to remain in first place.
