AIK defeated Elfborg and took vital points in the pursuit of fourth place – which could potentially mean the European Games.
Goal scorers: Erik Flataker and Johan Hove.
The latter has now scored eight goals in the Allsvenskan, the most of any AIK player.

– Yes, I have said that before as well. It was fun to get a little false start before the last game, says Hove.
The first of them came after a long shot, which was headed in by a defender.
– There was a little control there. I don’t know if it went in, but it went towards the goal anyway, so I’ll have the goal. Goals are goals.
Celina wanted to steal the penalty: “Then I took it”
His second goal came on a penalty. At 2-0 he stepped forward and got ready to slam it into the net. Bersant Celina also wanted to do that.
– Yes, he wanted that. He meant that me and Erik had already scored, and that he would get to score it. After all, we already decided before the match, and it was that I was going to take it. I wanted to take it, so I took it.
He was not particularly keen to drop the penalty to his compatriot.
– No. But I think Bersant played a really good match. A nice assist too. If it had been different, that he wasn’t as good as he was, I might have given it to him.
The words before the match: “Find me on the far side”
That assist Johan Hove is talking about led to Erik Flataker’s goal and made it 1-0 in the match.
– I told him before the match started that he will find me on the far side, he says.
There he appeared, and headed in his fourth goal in as many games.
What do you say about your target form?
– It is where it should be. I have good teammates, then it’s easy to score goals. We must continue on that track.
