Guinea’s archers Hit the Bullseye: Three Medals and Two Youth Olympic Berths Secured at African Cup

Abidjan, Ivory Coast – The African Archery Cup, held from November 19-23, 2025, in Abidjan, proved to be a landmark event for Guinean archery. The nation’s athletes not only clinched a total of three medals but also secured two coveted spots in the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, signaling a shining future for the sport on the continent.

The highlight of the competition was the dominant performance by the Syli Women’s Archery team in the under-18 category. They were crowned African champions, bringing home the gold medal and showcasing the depth of talent emerging from Guinea.
