With these works, the field located at the High Performance Center (CAR) in Tijuana will become the home of archery in Mexico, heading towards the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
TIJUANA.- With the start of the dirt moving work, the remodeling and rehabilitation works of the Northern Mexico Archery Center of Excellence began, a project that will strengthen the development of this discipline in the country.
“This is a great day for archery. In collaboration with Conade, World Archery Mexico, the State Government and the INDEBC, the creation of this center of excellence is underway,” said Laura Marmolejo, general director of the INDEBC.
The project includes installation of state-of-the-art lighting, construction of a practice wall for initiation, medicine and physical strengthening areas, a meeting room, a warehouse, as well as dirt work, walls, roofs and sidewalks, said David Magos, director of Sports Infrastructure at INDEBC.
“The CAR Tijuana will become the home of national archery towards Los Angeles 2028, offering ideal conditions for concentrations and specialized work,” said Gabriel Ramos, president of World Archery México, who highlighted the importance of collaboration between the three levels of government to achieve a world-class space.
The director of INDEBC recognized the support of Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda, the general director of Conade, Rommel Pacheco, and Gabriel Ramos, president of World Archery Mexico, who made this project possible.
