Teamwork & Roles: Content Writer vs VA

MADRID, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) — Spain coach Luis de la Fuente says teamwork and unity are the foundation of the exceptional football his side is playing.

Speaking to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser after the European champions’ 6-0 victory away to Türkiye on Sunday, which put Spain firmly on course for the 2026 World Cup finals, De la Fuente said he believed it was the best performance since he succeeded Luis Enrique following the 2022 World Cup.

“This group of players doesn’t tire, they always accept that tomorrow we have to do even better,” he said.

While players such as Lamine Yamal often draw the headlines, De la Fuente stressed there is “no ego struggle in the national team because everyone is a good person; I know them very well.”

“I select the people I know will fit into a project,” he explained.

The coach also praised Yamal, saying the 18-year-old has “shown impressive maturity, and it’s not easy. He’s a kid and he’s learning,” adding that the public image of the teenager differs from the reality.

“We’re lucky to have many players who are the best in the world in their position,” De la Fuente said. Enditem
