Ligné Badminton Club: Eco Label Awarded for Sustainability

Committed to several environmental, societal points and towards a responsible economy, Leclub (Le Cellier Ligné Union Badminton) has just won the Eco Bad two -star label. Lionel Philippot, vice-president, answers our questions.

How was this labeling approach decided and what were the actions carried out to win this two -star Ecobad label?

It is a collegial decision of the board of directors taken in April 2025. We considered that this approach corresponded to our values and our vision of sport. After submitting a label request to the Federation, we have formalized and set up our commitments by following evaluation criteria. For example, our links and partnerships, training and awareness, waste management, anti -doping …

Has a person come to check?

Yes. The judge of the competition, in addition to ensuring the smooth running, validated each of the criteria requested to obtain the label. Our environmental commitments have focused on several points, including carpooling incentive and highlighting public transport solutions in our communication to players, installing a refreshment bar offering local and seasonal products, re -use of dishes, installation of selective sorting points, the revaluation of worn ruffles. Without forgetting 100 % dematerialized communication and scoring management (badminton scoring system) via tablet which made it possible to avoid the printing of 150 pages.

(1) Created by the French Badminton Federation (FFBAD), the Ecobad label aims to enhance the eco -responsible events. Divided into four levels of labeling, it offers clubs that request it, the official recognition of a successful strategy in terms of eco -responsibility.
