The Morelense Badmintonist Emiliano Carrera Gutiérrez won the silver medal at the event “Bucaramanga International Junior Colombia 2025”, Consolidating as one of the country’s outstanding youth talentsthis was reported by the Institute of Sports and Physical Culture of the State of Morelos (By), in charge of Juan Felipe Domínguez Robles.
In this regard, it was detailed that the athlete from Temixco competed in the Sub 19 category in the singles modality, advancing from the thirties of the end until reaching the grand final of this international Bádminton competition, where he won the silver medal in the contest held from September 3 to 7 in Bucaramanga, Colombia.
Likewise, it was detailed that in his debut the Morelense traced before the Colombian Mateo Arroyave after giving up the first set and winning the next two, then defeated the local Mario Cuervo in two sets and later did the same in front of Ashton Zievinger, of Aruba, to access the semifinal.
Already in the anteroom he beat Jerónimo Giraldo also from Colombia, in two sets and then fell into the final against the Peruvian Umesh Lescano, who currently has the ranking in the second position in the American continent within this category.
