Benfica’s Perfect Start: Portuguese League Update

Three games and three victories: Benfica continues with its perfect season in the Portuguese League, where this Sunday beat 2 to 1 during its visit to the newly promoted Alverca.

The eagles have a game played less than the rest of the great championship, which is why they are three points from the leader, the Porto (12 points), which won their four games played, the last one on Saturday by 2-1 in the field of Sporting de Lisbon.

Benfica did already be able to reach his neighbor of the capital in the table, with which he matched 9 units.

During his visit to neighboring Alverca do Ribatejo, a town in the Lisbon region, Benfica laid the foundations of his victory with the goals in the first part of the Norwegian Andreas Schjelderup (minute 3) and the Bosnio Amar dedication (45).

The Alverca could only shorten in the final stretch, in 85 thanks to the Ivory Davy Gui, but the three points went to the visiting team.

The week has been very positive for Benfica, which on Wednesday eliminated the Turkish Fenerbahçe, until that game trained by José Mourinho and later fired, in the playoff of access to the Single Group of the Champions League.
