Football professionals are also drawn to the Ballermann after the end of the season to finally let out the sow after months of privation – Florian Neuhaus from Borussia Mönchengladbach on the Mediterranean island.
The ten -time international apparently spent a happy time in Mallorca. A video was posted on X that shows Neuhaus in conversation with four Gladbach fans. The 28-year-old no longer looks completely sober.
Neuhaus wears hat, sunglasses and a jersey from the 2006 World Cup with the number ten of Zinédine Zidane. The scene is said to have played at Ballermann 6. When the video starts, Neuhaus is not yet in the picture. The sentence falls: “He is the worst manager in the world.” In the voice, it sounds like Neuhaus, who says this. However, there could also have been by the surrounding guests. Then Neuhaus appears in the picture: “Don Rollo gives Florian Neuhaus: one, two, three, four million euros.”
“Don Rollo” apparently meant Borussia Mönchengladbach’s managing director Sport, Roland Virkus. The 58-year-old received this nickname, especially in fan circles.
Neuhaus was a wedding guest in Mallorca
Virkus prematurely extended the Neuhaus Treaty two years ago by 2027. Obviously Neuhaus agrees to the negotiated salary. According to information from the “Bild”, Neuhaus actually earns four million a year and is therefore a top earner at Borussia alongside Alassane Plea.
Neuhaus could not convince last season. The midfielder was only on the pitch in 18 Bundesliga games and only played one game of full distance.
When the video was recorded is unknown. According to “Bild”, Neuhaus was at least a week and a half ago in Mallorca to attend the wedding of Stuttgart’s international Maximilian Mittelstädt.
Neither players nor management responded to inquiries by Monday afternoon. The club itself does not want to comment for the time being.
