Are you ready to set direction for badminton development in Denmark? Do you have your finger on the pulse compared to the badminton environment – from the hall to the strategy room? Then it may be you we are looking for as a sports manager in DGI Badminton.

As a sports manager, you are given the responsibility of setting direction for the work on badminton development at national level. You are at the forefront of our national development team, which consists of three consultants from DGI’s 3 regions. Together you must ensure a smooth, agile and meaningful development path – where strategic goals and concrete club offers go hand in hand. Your role is to lead the team’s work professionally, secure prioritization and progress – and create a clear link between the needs of the badminton environment and our overall direction. You become a key person in collaboration with Badminton Denmark and in the development of training offers, club development and communities for all age groups – in our 1200 member clubs.
At the same time, you will have a key role in our badminton team at national level, where you – without staff responsibility – coordinate and prioritize tasks in close dialogue with the team and ensure the necessary overview of everyday life. Here you become a cultural carrier who creates progress and direction in everyday life and at the same time contributes to a working environment with high well -being, professional pride and good mood.
We are looking for a person who can view both the broad perspective of badminton in Denmark – and cooperate closely with Badminton Denmark and other key players.

In the job you will have a large touching surface across the entire DGI as well as with Badminton Denmark. You succeed best in the job if you have the following competencies:
- In -depth understanding of the badminton environment – from Halgulv to the Board of Directors
- Experience with project and process management
- Ability to spot new trends and turn them into action
- Strong relational skills and desire to create cooperation
- Clearly in communication and good to set direction
In addition, the job consists of:
- Support our sports leadership (voluntary political joint)
- Operate results-oriented and involving development processes with internal and external actors
- Lead up and lead out via communication to relevant stakeholders in and outside the organization
- Secure cooperation between DGI’s other sports and the common functions of sports
As a sports manager for badminton, you become part of a sports professionally strong community in the department across sports at the country office.
In DGI we have good staffing conditions with, among other things, canteen, employee exercise, paid breaks and pension scheme. Your primary place of work is DGI’s country office in Vingsted. DGI has purchased a new headquarters in the center of Vejle, which we will move to at the beginning of 2026.
