At the World Cup for clubs, Internazionale was eliminated in the eighth finals by the Brazilian Fluminense: 2-0. The first goal of the match was already in the third minute, the second goal in the injury time of the second half.

The final chord was for Fluminense, which was given a lot of room to counter in the injury time of the second half. The 24-year-old midfielder Hercules shot the ball in just before time from the edge of the penalty area and thus ended the long season of Inter.
