Dick Schreuder on FC Twente Player: Insights & Opinion

Dick Schreuder does not agree with the statement that he brings too many old acquaintances to NEC. The Nijmegen residents have achieved two players who have a past with Schreuder. The trainer Al Gonzalo Crettaz and Jetro Willems from his previous club, CD Castellón. Former Castellón player Thomas van den Belt was also linked to NEC, but he left for FC Twente.

“I already read somewhere that Schreuder gets his own players, but that is not the case,” says Dick Schreuder De Gelderlander. “I don’t care that this is written down, but I think it is strange that it is spoken that way. If there were a number of people within the club, those players would not have come to NEC. Everyone should give his Fiat.”

“Crettaz came because we look ahead. Everyone knows that Roefs is in the interest of other clubs. Crettaz was transfer-free and knows how I want to play. Willems and Van den Belt are of course no stranger names for NEC. I would also have liked Van den Belt here and the club too,” said NEC trainer Dick Schreuder. Van den Belt was on the NEC list, but he finally chose FC Twente.
