“We’re going to cut off your head”: threatened, young Entente footballers punished despite everything

Bernard Williot does not lose his temper. “For me, the violence is endorsed by the decision of the League of Paris. The match should have been replayed behind closed doors. Or we froze the score, at 1-1,” considers the president of the Entente Sannois-Saint-Gratien. Like the entire club, the latter has been in shock since the decision of the disciplinary committee of the Paris-Ile-France League concerning the U 16 match in Regional 3 against Clichy-sur-Seine. The body, in fact, gave the match a loss on the green carpet and imposed a penalty point on the Val-d’Oisian club even though it was the victim of verbal violence and personalized death threats during the match.

Recall of facts. Sunday March 17, the U 16s of Entente SSG travel to Hauts-de-Seine to face those of USA Clichy at the Nelson-Paillou stadium in the R3 championship (3rd regional level). During the first period, the young people and the coach suffered a host of insults and death threats from a group of around twenty people present in the enclosure stand. They add the first and last names of certain players on the field and their coach.
