At first, you could tell that he was slowly getting comfortable. “I spent the first third getting used to the wider ice and the system. In the defensive zone, I didn’t know where to go a couple of times. But it gradually improved, and in the third period I already had an idea of what and how,” he described and praised the approach of the entire team. “Coaches and teammates made it easy for me. Everyone welcomed me very well, they made it a lot easier for me,” he noted.
Roman Červenka’s equalizing goal at the end sticks out the most in his memory from the match. “It was great to see all the fans jumping. I was looking forward to the atmosphere and enjoying it,” he smiled. “With such an equalization, we showed that we have something to build on. It is important for us,” he realized.

He could not praise the interplay with Červenka and David Pastrňák. “Playing with such players is easy, they are excellent. It is the quarterfinals that will decide the fate of the championship. “We have to win, the most important match of the tournament. It will show how we are doing. We will prepare ourselves, no matter who we come across,” Zacha remarked. On Thursday, he will have even more support in the audience. “Now the ségers have arrived, about five people in total. And the day after tomorrow there will be even more of them, so hopefully we can make it,” he hopes.
But until then, he needs to regenerate properly. “I’m already looking forward to bed. But I’ll still jump into the sauna to sweat, and it will be good,” concluded Zacha.
