Valentina Höll wins the Downhill MTB World Cup in Fort William, Marine Cabirou 6th

Thanks to a successful finish, Austrian Valentina Höll (22) took the best time in the Downhill World Cup in Fort William (Scotland) this Sunday.

The double world champion (2022 and 2023) finished the special with less than a second (0”561) behind her runner-up, the German Nina Hoffmann. The British Tahnee Seagrave completes the podium.

Nicole back to competition

The French champion Marine Cabirou (27 years old) took sixth place, 10”516 behind the Austrian. Montpellier’s Myriam Nicole, double world champion (2019 and 2021) but victim of a concussion after her heavy fall in February 2023 in Portugal, made her return to competition this weekend.

Not qualified for the final, his 16th place in qualifying is still a great reason for hope, while his last World Cup round dates back to 2022. A bit of the same fate as Amaury Pierron, who is coming out of a white season also and who took the 23rd time in the men’s semi-finals.
