US hockey players have a convincing victory over Germany; Czech Republic beats Norway / Day

USA beat Germany 6-1 (2-0, 2-1, 2-0) in Group B game.

The Czechs had 49 shots on goal, while the Norwegians threatened the home team’s goal only 11 times.

It has already been reported that in other subgroup B matches in Ostrava, Latvia beat Poland 5:4 in extra time and Kazakhstan defeated France 3:1, while in subgroup A in Prague, Canada won 4:2 over Great Britain and Denmark convincingly defeated Austria 5:1.

Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Great Britain, Norway and Switzerland compete in Prague in subgroup A, while Latvia, USA, Germany, Sweden, France, Kazakhstan, Slovakia and Poland compete in Ostrava in subgroup B.

The 16 teams participating in the tournament are divided into two groups, with eight teams each, which guarantees seven games for each team. The top four teams in each group will continue the medal fight in the quarter-finals, while the weaker teams in both groups will leave the stronger division, and next year will be replaced by Hungary and Slovenia in the top 16.

Last year, the Canadians triumphed in the world championships, beating Germany in the decisive match, while Latvia won the bronze medals, defeating the USA national team in overtime.

This year, the world championship will take place in the Czech cities of Prague and Ostrava from May 10 to 26.
