The Visma-Lease a Bike rider explained this Thursday to RTBF that he was not yet certain of participating in the Tour de France (June 29-July 21) due to his latest injuries.
Will Wout van Aert be at the start of the Tour de France on June 29? Nothing is certain. The Visma-Lease a Bike rider was seriously injured during the last Tour of Flanders last March after a heavy fall. He had already given up on the Giro.
This Thursday at the RTBF, van Aert cast doubt on a possible participation in the Grande Boucle. “It’s a possibility but it’s really too early to say definitively. First, I’m going to ride here in Norway, and then we’re going to analyze what’s possible for the future. So yes, it’s really too early to say.”
