As soon as the football season comes to an end, the transfer summer is not far away.

The gates of the market in England will be open again from June 14th – big names are already being traded at top clubs. This also happened with an important regular from English champions Manchester City. There could be a change for the Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson.

Interest from Saudi Arabia

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports on a possible departure for the 30-year-old goalkeeper. Accordingly, the “Citizens” would apparently make no move and let the highly decorated player go. There is said to be interest from Saudi Arabia, which could once again attack the European market in a new wave.

Furthermore, it is up to the player himself how he wants to shape his future. Since moving from Benfica in the summer of 2017, Ederson has collected numerous trophies with the Manchester club, including the Champions League, six English championships and various other national and international cups.

Goalkeeper changing of the guard in Manchester?

The German goalkeeper Stefan Ortega would be available as a replacement, and he more than adequately represented his teammate when he was unavailable. Ederson is currently recovering from an injury.

Last Tuesday, the 25-time Brazilian international broke his eye socket in the 2-0 win against Tottenham. In the season finale against West Ham he was represented by Ortega. If Ederson gets fit in time, he could say goodbye to another title in the FA Cup final against city rivals Manchester United on Saturday.
