So, I’m very honest, the Football Manager of today is not at all the same game that I grew up playing with my friends, or watching my older brother play on the old Pentium III at home.
It is nowadays a much more complex title, which tries to touch on all the details of what could be the work of a true gesture from a serious football club. Which is exactly why I still play from time to time, but always without the same desire as before.
However, it seems that I am alone in this boat! After all, Football Manager 2024 is the most popular game in the series with more than 7 million units sold. An incredible growth that has happened in the last 4 years, as in 2020 we saw a celebration of 2 million players, and now we are celebrating an incredible 7 million.
For many, FM is still a way of life, not just a game. This is one of the last projects in the world of video games that still has soul, and the development team is still trying to go after what players really like.
