The Rimouski Shaker Unveils Coaching Staff for 2024 Season

The Rimouski Shaker announces the composition of its coaching staff for the 2024 season.

Jean-Philippe Marcoux-Tortillet is entrusted with the management of the team on the ground. As the team’s first baseman, he will use his coaching experience acquired in hockey, a sport in which he managed AA teams for around ten years.

He will be surrounded by two assistants who have a great involvement in baseball. Also wearing the team’s colors, Ludovic Dubé will be one of them. In 2021, he did a very good job as manager to complete the season.

Also, Laurent Robichaud will be the other deputy. Involved in minor baseball as an instructor for a dozen years, he will have a very important presence, particularly during matches where he will take on responsibilities which will allow his two colleagues to concentrate on their role as players.

The trio of coaches will also be able to count, on an occasional basis, on the presence of Simon Trépanier, as a pitcher for batting exercises. He has extensive experience in baseball in Rimouski.

Marcoux-Tortillet succeeds Louis-David Goulet who was the team manager for the last two seasons. Personal reasons force him to take a break in 2024. The Shaker thanks him for his involvement and hopes to count on his extensive expertise again in the coming years.

Remember that the Shaker will open its 2024 season in Grand Falls on Sunday, May 19. After a visit to Trois-Pistoles on Friday the 24th, the team will open its local season on Sunday, May 26, at 2 p.m., by hosting the McCain Cataractes of Grand Falls.
