The Spanish driver Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), who will start the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix third, has acknowledged that the team’s “priority” this Sunday in the race will be “for his teammate Charles Leclerc to win, who this Saturday took pole position in the Principality.
“It will be a question of track position and we have lost it a little with that qualifying position – third -, but this is Monaco and we will try everything,” he said about the possibility of aspiring to a victory. “But the priority will be for Charles -Leclerc- to win tomorrow,” he added.
Furthermore, the man from Madrid highlighted the improvement experienced by the car with respect to free practice. “I think it has been an improvement because I have lacked feeling with the car. I have had to take that step forward and third is a step forward. Obviously I am not completely happy because I would have liked to fight for that pole, but Charles has “I’ve been doing a great job all weekend,” he said.
