Who will be the next NBA broadcasters in the United States for the next cycle which will start from the 2025-2026 season?

According to Bloomberg or even the Wall Street Journalthe National Basketball Association is on the verge of signing new record contracts.

A $76 billion contract over 11 years including Prime Video?

The NBA could practically triple its revenues from TV rights over the next cycle with a total of approximately 76 billion dollars over 11 seasons, or about $6.9 billion on average per season. A boon for the league and its franchises who are benefiting from the phenomenon Victor Wembanyama, named Rookie of the Year.

The American media are thus discussing future agreements with Walt Disney Co. (ESPN and ABC) for $2.6 billion per year and Amazon Prime Video for $1.8 billion per year.

A third rights package is expected to go to Warner Bros., Discovery Inc. or Comcast Corp. The latter would have proposed, according to Wall Street Journal, the sum of around 2.5 billion dollars and would be the favorite, especially with NBC and the streaming platform Peacock.

The current contract for the NBA’s media rights in its home market brings in $2.6 billion per season on average ($24 billion over 9 years).

It should be noted that in addition to these contracts there are local broadcasting contracts in certain markets.
